Flexicon Flexible Conduits

Flexicon Flexible Conduits

Flexicon are manufacturers of flexible steel conduit systems. The range of conduits are high impact, high strength and liquid liquid tight suitable for use on industrial and hazardous area installations.

What Is A Flexible Conduit?

Flexible conduits are protective tubes that guard against external forces such as weather and environmental impacts, electromagnetic interference and impact resistance.

Without a conduit protecting cables, any interference could compromise the cable and its performance.

In addition Flexicon also manufacture a range of zero halogen flexible conduit systems and ATEX certified barrier glands.

Flexible steel conduits are used in many industries globally including oil and gas, offshore, mining, renewable energy, shipping and food and drink. Flexible conduits contain and protect power cables, data cables and wiring by preventing water and dust ingress as well as providing protection against rodents.

Flexicon Flexible Steel Conduits And Fittings

Flexicon range of flexible steel conduits consists of 26 different fittings to meet all needs. The range varies in size from 10 – 75mm and are manufactured in galvanised or stainless steel with a range of coverings and over-bradings available.

The wide range of steel conduits feature a high compression strength and a wide range of temperature tolerances to provide the highest level or protection to the cables inside.

The conduits also have a high impact resistance and remove the threat of water or dust ingress onto the cables. The range are manufactured in the UK to the highest standards to guarantee product quality, reliability and performance.

Flexicon barrier glands are nickel plated brass glands suitable for use within Zone 1, Zone 2 hazardous areas. Flexicon Ex D ATEX barrier glands provide a dust and fire tight seal to IP66, IP67, IP68 (5bar) and IP69K.

ATEX certified barrier glands are used to minimise the risk of an explosion forming and the risk of ignition in hazardous areas. The range of EXD barrier glands are certified for use where group A, B or C gases may be present as the gland does not add to the temperature of the enclosure.

In addition, it does not come with a temperature classification and can therefore be used with all temperature classes.

Flexicon EXD Barrier Glands Hazardous Area Approvals.

  • ATEX Approval: Sira Certificate No Sira 10ATEX1172X
